We are pioneering a brand new Film and TV Traineeship in partnership with Barking and Dagenham College.
We will take up to 40 students from the college and train them in their chosen on-set role.
The students will engage with industry professionals during their week-long bootcamp.
By the end of their training they will have an interview with representatives from Film London, to help them prepare for a career in the film industry.
From this, they will go into our database of skilled young people from the London borough. This means we can place them on any projects that film in the area. They will also be afforded the opportunity to join the Film London Equal Access Network.
During their first placement within the industry, Bluebird Pictures will support both the production and the trainee by doing on-site visits and evaluations.
This scheme is designed to make the film and TV industry more accessible to young people from diverse backgrounds and hard to reach areas.
It will provide all the skills necessary to become a trainee on set.
We look forward to updating you on the progress of this traineeship in the ‘news’ section of our website.
The first round, and trial run of the scheme will take place in May 2019.
