Short Film Budgeting (With Movie Magic)

Our short film budgeting class is our third installment in our workshops that coincide with Bluebird Pictures’ World Cinema Film Festival, designed to create a step by step guide to different elements of filmmaking.

This class will look at how to create an industry standard budget once you have your short film script (under 15 minutes) which will be helpful not only to apply for funding but for pre-production, production and post production.

We will look at free templates available to start, and move on to the industry standard movie magic budgeting and scheduling software.

This will be an interactive class so bring your laptops/ notepads and pens and any short scripts you have ready to create a budget for.

These workshops are designed to help people make their films a reality and learn more about the film industry in celebration of world cinema and the unique melting pot that is Barking and Dagenham.

Submissions for the world cinema film festival open in December ’18 and close in May ’19
