Development funding and mentoring opportunity for a black writer/director

We have always been committed to providing opportunities to black writers and directors, but recent events have been overwhelmingly emotional for our CEO, staff, and freelancers who all feel so deeply about the Black Lives Matter movement as black creatives and allies.

This is why we want to open our doors beyond the World Cinema Film Festival this summer.

We will be providing a black writer/ director some development funding and a space to work at our studio in Barking as soon as it is safe to do so.

All we need is a treatment for a project you are currently working on and a showreel or links to previous work.

We are expecting an overwhelming response, so it may take us some time to respond to you. Shortlisted applicants will have a short zoom conversation with our CEO Joelle Mae David (this is not an interview – more of a get to know you) to determine how we can help and decide on a finalist.

Deadline: 30th June
